TeamWork: my experience at Makers

This project was the first group work I did at Makers. I’m on week 5!
We are afraid and anxious at the beginning of the week because we don’t know exactly how people work in a group.

*Would we have problems?
*Different opinions?
*How to deal with a distinct personality?
*Will people be understanding?
*Will we be respected for our ideas?

Many questions would not be answered immediately, only as the project progressed.

On the first day we talked, we set goals for our week and how we would work and decided to do the pair programming technique for three people. That’s right. We made a pair of three!
The technique we use is called ping pong. Where the first person writes the test, the second person passes the test, and the third person reviews the code. And whenever a cycle ended, we switched people around. Now the person doing the test will write the code, the person who was writing will do the reviewing, and the person who was reviewing will write the test.

This technique worked very well because whenever someone made a mistake in writing or the code, we could solve it in a short time, which, if we were doing it alone, would probably take longer.

When a team works together, another mind is created that connects all the minds involved. For me, it was an experience, as we were able to create a project from scratch that I am entirely proud of. I liked the result and the fact that we worked in a group. We were able to respect each other, listen to each other’s opinions while others spoke, to be receptive to helping and offering help.
